12 Minute Affiliate is a Done-For-You affiliate system with a built-in sales funnel. If you are a beginner and you are not sure what that means exactly, in this 12 Minute Affiliate review I am going explain it in details;

I am a great fan of affiliate marketing – who would have thought? – because it is a great way of making money online, even for beginners. But every time I see a Done-For-You system I become suspicious. I am not saying that every done-for-you affiliate marketing system is a scam – have a look at AffiloRama for example – but when I see a ‘beginner-friendly’ system that claims to be as easy as ‘ordering a pizza’ and set you up for earning commissions in 12 minutes, well, all my alarm bells go off.

So I was really interested to find out if 12 Minute Affiliate is just another rip-off or you can actually make some money with it.

If you have seen the sales page of 12 Minute Affiliate, you surely have watched the 12-minute long sales video. It may be my ‘meaner self’ but I thought: there you go…that’s the 12 minute, that’s how THEY make money 🙂

Obviously, they can’t make any guarantees that you will make money too…although that’s fair enough, that’s legal stuff.

What’s 12 Minute Affiliate

So as I said, you can access an automated sales funnel. I bit of explanation: a sales funnel is basically the chain of marketing communication that will eventually end with an offer. Through the chain the visitors are presented with highly optimized marketing communication, which increases the likelihood of turning a visitor into a buyer. Ie. more money.

12 Minute Affiliate promotes ClickBank products through it’s sales funnels. ClickBank is a reputable marketplace for ebooks, courses and many other programs… some good and some not so good. But ClickBank itself is 100% legit.

The promise that 12 Minute Affiliate makes is that it turns ‘making money online’ as easy as ordering a pizza. That it is totally beginner friendly, and you can set up your own system without being tech-savvy.

Hence the name of their program: 12 Minute Affiliate. They’re giving us the impression it will only take 12 minutes to set up, and… 12 minutes of work every day can be enough. I doubt that it’s true, but even if its 120 minutes instead of 12 minutes, I’m good with it.

How you can make money with 12 Minute Affiliate

With 12 Minute Affiliate you can have access to a Done-For-You sales funnels. This basically is;

• a Landing Page. This is what new visitors see for the first time. They are presented with a hook that would make them opt-in with their email address.
• Email swipes. The email addresses captured on the Landing Page will go on an email list within an autoresponder. With the uploaded copies of email follow-ups you just have to sit back and let the magic happen. The emails are tried and tested for maximum conversion.
• a Sales Page. This is where people can buy the product. Every time someone buys a product, you will get a commission.

The key here is that you must send visitors to the landing page, the rest is fully automated (once you set it up).

According to 12 Minute Affiliate, you don’t even need to worry about traffic, as they can send traffic to your landing page too!

They claim that the whole system is as easy as ordering a pizza online. Once you set up your system, all you need to do is to order visitors through 12 Minute Affiliate. Right now they are promoting ClickBank products, so in order to get the commissions you need to;

1. Create your unique Clickbank ID
2. Set up your funnel
3. Order visitors & send them to the sales funnel
4. Count the money rolling in

Sounds too good to be true?

Honestly, I haven’t seen anything so far that would be overly suspicious, so I can confidently say that the system presented by 12 Minute Affiliate – in theory – should work. (Whether it really works for everyone, that’s another question.)

The system is legit, because if you promoted a product you’d have to do the same: set up a Landing Page, set up an email autoresponder and send traffic to the landing page. The fact that its all done for you, well, even better! 12 Minute Affiliate does not reinvent the wheel. That’s why I am confident it is not a scam.

You’ll be provided with landing pages (equivalent to websites) when you join 12 Minute Affiliate. You get to choose from 3 niches – Home Business (this includes Making Money Online), Weight Loss (one of the biggest sub-niches in Health), and Personal Development (again, a really big and lucrative niche).

Then you’ll connect your landing/funnel page to your email autoresponder. This is an extra cost, they don’t provide you with an autoresponder. You can use anything you like. If you are on a budget I recommend Sender.net, it is free up to 2,500 subscribers (which is plenty for a beginner). If you fancy using something more popular, I use GetResponse because it looks prettier than Sender.net (although you would be using 12 Minute Affiliate’s landing page templates, so all would look the same). Set up is easy (they have instructions in their members’ area), but you can opt to pay a small fee to have them do it for you.

After that you upload the pre-written emails into your autoresponder. These emails will contain high converting sales copies of products which have been selected by the 12 Minute Affiliate.

Now the crucial point: get traffic to your landing page (this is another added cost to you). You can buy traffic directly through the 12 Minute Affiliate platform and your traffic will automatically be sent to your landing pages; or you can buy traffic elsewhere (or use organic (free) sources of traffic). But keep in mind, that there’s no guarantee whatsoever that anyone who clicks onto your ad will buy anything. You only buy clicks, not sales.

The Price You Pay

There’s a one off $9.95 to play with the system for 2 weeks. In theory, this should be more than enough to set up your sales funnel, create landing pages and generate enough traffic make your first sale.

After the initial period the Basic Level costs $47, which is $1.56 a day; or a $397 one-time fee.

With the basic level you gain access to 1 niche of your choice.

Gold Membership gives you access to all 3 niches, but it costs $97 a month, or a one-off $797 payment.

There’s 60 days money back guarantee – all through ClickBank so nothing to worry about.

However, the money back guarantee does not cover the traffic you buy.

So if you are not careful you can burn a lot of money in a very short period of time. Or you can make money straight away and re-invest it in more traffic.

I must also mention that you can get $100 credit on Google AdSense and Bing! often has similar offers. So you don’t necessarily have to buy traffic through 12 Minute Affiliate if you are happy to invest half an hour of your time watching a free YouTube video on how to create a campaign on Google AdSense. And then you can spend $100 guilt-free, and even if you only make one sale, the monthly fee of 12 Minute Affiliate is covered.

But the truth of the matter is that – as you run out of your budget – you’ll probably end up trying to drive organic traffic to your landing page, which is going to be very difficult, as

• you don’t know how to do that
• 12 Minute Affiliate won’t teach you that

So you’ll be looking for a training course on how to create a landing page, and how to drive organic traffic to your website. You will find out that keywords are really important, so before picking ANY niche, you must (should have) do keyword research.

So why don’t you save yourself the time and money, and learn that FIRST for FREE? You then would still have the money to spend it on 12 Minute Affiliate, but you are much more knowledgeable…

Is 12 Minute Affiliate a Scam or a legit way to make money online?

I am always suspicious…

If it’s that easy, why Devon Brown (the man behind 12 Minute Affiliate) needs YOU to set up a landing page etc.? He could just send traffic to any landing page himself, and keep the commission, right? He doesn’t need YOU to sell those products…

Unless…

The only possible reason, is if he makes more money by selling this system to YOU, than he’d make using his own product…

Otherwise, if I were him, I would just promote those products myself.

So I started digging…

Who is Devon Brown – the man behind 12 Minute Affiliate?

According to himself, Devon Brown is and emcee, internet entrepreneur, speaker and personal motivator (whatever that means). I personally haven’t heard of him before looking into 12 Minute Affiliate.

He’s a real person, so that’s good, running his own personal brand and a company called Renegade Success. 12 Minute Affiliate is a product of Renegade Success Inc.

He has got Insta and Facebook, and you can learn more about Devon Brown at devonbrown.com.

On the other hand, the website of Renegade Success did not work at the time writing this (some PHP error, looks like it needs some maintenance and update).

He has also got a YouTube Channel with more than 300 videos, and less than 1500 followers: https://www.youtube.com/user/renegadesuccess

From his online presence he does not seem to be someone who has hit the jackpot in affiliate marketing…

Anyways…

I still don’t think that 12 Minute Affiliate is a scam. Devon Brown is a real person who is making money online in some form or another since 2008 so I have no doubts, that 12 Minute Affiliate is legit.

The question is, if you get value for your money. If you get the VALUE they claim you are going to get out of 12 Minute Affiliate, ie. rolling money on autopilot while you sleep or enjoying life at an exotic destination…

I’ve touched on it before, that I am not sure I understand the concept behind 12 Minute Affiliate. Of course, if Devon Brown runs a charity and rather give the money to you than earning it for himself, that’s absolutely fine. But I don’t think that’s the case.

He obviously makes more money off of you than he would make doing everything on his own.

• He makes money when you buy the course, and monthly thereafter
• He may make money when you set up your autoresponder (through affiliate links, and for setting it up for you).
• He probably makes money when you pay for getting traffic through their system.

Does it make 12 Minute Affiliate a scam? I don’t think so. He makes money. You make money. There’s nothing wrong with this at all. As long as you really make money.

As I said earlier the system is legit and you’d have have the same system in place if you’d run your own sales funnel. If you had your own funnel, you’d probably end up paying less – no monthly fee for using 12 Minute Affiliate, and cheaper advertising fees.

The price you pay is the price of comfort.

So I think it’s a win-win.

CONS – What I didn’t Like About 12 Minute Affiliate

Just bear in mind that you are totally dependent on 12 Minute Affiliate.

I am not a big fan of any Done-For-You system. If anything, I prefer DIY systems cause you have total control over it.

If you had your own system, you’d have full access and have a proper understanding of your marketing campaign (buying traffic), you could change it, further optimizing it, and possible earn more money with it.

If you had your own system you would be able to replicate it within a matter of a few days or weeks, in a different niche. You would not be tied to the 1 (or 3) niches offered by 12 Minute Affiliate.

But this does not mean you can’t dig deeper and understand the know-how behind the system…

In fact, setting up a Landing Page is much easier than you think. You can set it up in WordPress for free in 30 minutes (here’s how). Or, every Autoresponder nowadays have built in Landing Page templates (even sender.net, which is totally free. But as I said, GetResponse is prettier.)

Registering on ClickBank is free. Picking products to promote is free. They give you the ads and banners you can promote. Get the AdSense voucher. Set up a campaign. It’s all free so far. So what exactly are you paying $47 a month for?

• You don’t have a say in what products you promote.
• You don’t have a say who they promote it to – the audience may be totally uninterested.
• You don’t know what ads they are running on your behalf etc. etc.

And if they think they have earned enough money they can just shut 12 Minute Affiliate down. You don’t have audience data for the ad campaigns, you can start everything from scratch bar your email list.

The only reason I think that 12 Minute Affiliate may be worth trying, is…

PROS – What’s Good About 12 Minute Affiliate

…Exactly why they say. You don’t (yet) know how to set up an ad campaign. You don’t know how to run an email campaign.

So as a beginner, it takes a lot off of your shoulders.

And its much more relaxing to learn something new ie. online marketing, knowing that there’s a system behind you that’s already generating money. Even if you don’t fully understand how and why.

It gives you time to figure out everything you need to run your own sales funnel, without risking to go bankrupt.

As long as it works…

Alternatives

Oh boy, there are plenty. I won’t be able to list all the ‘Done-For-You’ affiliate systems, and won’t be able to list all the ‘Get-Rich-Quick’ schemes either.

There’s one though, that’s very similar to 12 Minute Affiliate.

It sounds like it is a money-making machine to earn you income on autopilot. If you liked the idea of 12 Minute Affiliate but you are not happy about the lack of choice and customization, then have a look at what’s inside the AffiloJetpack box:

• You can choose between 18 tried&tested profitable niches.
• 90+ pre-written emails for your autoresponder sequence. The copies are written by professional copy-writers to maximise conversion.
• The freebies / giveaways to get people subscribe to your email list
• A website on a premium WordPress theme. Hosting included for the 1st year, domain not included.
• Article cheat sheets and ‘research done’. So you still have to write the articles, it is just made easier for you.

What I said about done-for-you affiliate programs or websites above, is true for AffiloJetPack too. Building a brand, building an audience, building authority cannot be done by a copy & paste method.

Having said that, AffiloJetpack is much more robust than 12 Minute Affiliate. You need to work more though, but you’ll have a proper website with proper content, that will much more likely rank on Google for a long time (or you can pay for traffic, regardless).

It’s a bit pricier though, than 12 Minute Affiliate, but you get much more for your money.

Verdict

At the end of the day, its down to your personal preference to choose between DFY (Done-For-You) and DIY affiliate marketing – learning the cracks and build up your business in a more sustainable way.

I prefer the latter, however I completely understand if you’d feel overwhelmed or too afraid to try the ‘harder’ way. Done-for-you systems have that sort of advantage of focusing on that narrow keyhole of making money using a proven method.

It comes at a price, fair enough, and you get money in return (hopefully). Where as with the DIY method you get knowledge AND money in return, over a longer period of time no doubt about that  (for the same monthly / yearly investment).

If you think you need a DFY system to start affiliate marketing, and you’d rather experiment with DIY later, I completely understand. 12 Minute Affiliate will be a good choice for that. Just don’t forget to set a budget and remember what I said about learning a bit of keyword research….

12 Minute Affiliate may lack the versatility, you may not be able to customize it, but for a starter, its great.
